Ideal for insurance billing beginners, those who use billers and would like to start doing their own billing, also a great training for your administrative staff.

The goal of this workshop is to provide you with the education and tools you will need to feel confident accepting insurance as payment in your clinical practice. Learn how to bill insurance (and get paid!), but more UNDERSTAND HOW INSURANCE WORKS.

Not sure if you want to accept insurance? This course will help you make informed decisions about how invested you wish to be in accepting insurance as part of your business model.

Don’t think you want to take insurance at all? – this workshop is also for you – by learning how insurance works, you will stop turning away potential new clients who wish to use their insurance, but unbeknownst to them, do not actually have true coverage.

• Pro’s and con’s of in-network vs. out-of-network
• How to join networks… and tips on which networks to join/avoid!
• Performing a benefits inquiry
• Defining and billing CPT and E&M codes
• Charting appropriately to defend your claims

Testimonials from past participants:
“This information packed workshop was one of the best organized events I’ve ever attended. If you are unsure about insurance billing, having problems with denials or just starting out, do yourself a huge favor and sign up for Jules’ seminar.  Jules’ teaching clearly comes from the kind of knowledge one only gains by dedicated study combined with experience. It’s a veritable gold mine of information.” – Steven Woodley, L.Ac. (Professor at Five Branches University, Santa Cruz, CA)

“Jules is passionate about insurance billing, which makes a very dry and intimidating subject approachable and fun. She is also so organized, clear, and thoughtful that every minute of the day-long workshop is information that is applicable.  As someone who knew absolutely nothing about insurance billing, I left empowered with knowledge. I now feel confident and am actually excited to accept insurance because I understand exactly how to do it correctly, as well as ethically. I recommend this class without hesitation. It’s one of the best workshops I’ve ever taken. “ – Renee Klorman, L.Ac. (Owner of Renee Klorman Acupuncture, Nevada City, CA)
